GESAC service

Application engineering

What we do

  • Grade and insert/end mill selection by workpiece material and operation
  • Cutting-condition calculations (Vc, fz, ap, ae) for your machine and clamping setup
  • Cutting-edge failure analysis: flank wear, crater wear, built-up edge and chipping to correct parameters
  • Toolholder recommendations (HSK, BT, ER, hydraulic, shrink-fit) based on required rigidity
  • Optional plant audit: time measurements, cost per part and improvement opportunities
  • Direct GESAC factory support for complex cases: aerospace steels, superalloys and titanium

How we do it

  1. Initial consultation

Call or WhatsApp with a GESAC application engineer. Describe the part’s material, dimensions and tolerances, and the issue: short tool life, poor finish or long cycle time.

  2. Technical diagnosis

We request a photo of the worn insert, current parameters (Vc, fz, ap, ae) and a part sketch. Within 24–48 business hours, we provide a diagnosis and recommendation.

  3. Quote and trial plan

We quote the recommended tool with initial cutting conditions. For critical production, we arrange an accompanied on-site trial.

  4. On-site support (optional)

A GESAC engineer attends the first run at your plant, adjusts parameters live and provides a signed technical sheet recording successful settings.

  5. Follow-up + escalation to GESAC

When needed, we escalate to the Sadama application team or [international office]. You gain indirect access to manufacturer expertise without premium consulting fees.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have application engineers or sales representatives?

Engineers trained in metalworking with at least 5 years of shop-floor experience. Sales handles the order; application engineering resolves the technical problem.

How much is an on-site audit?

Free for customers with recurring consumption. For prospective customers, travel expenses and professional fees apply, quoted per visit, typically 1–2 days on site.

Can you help with machines that are not modern CNC equipment?

Yes. We have addressed cases on conventional machines, older imported equipment, Swiss-type sliding-headstock lathes and recent 5-axis machining centres. Geometry and grade adapt to actual conditions.
