What we do

How we do it
Stripping the previous coating
Existing coating is removed in a controlled chemical chamber without affecting the carbide substrate.
Multistage ultrasonic cleaning
Cleaning with alkaline detergents, deionised rinsing and vacuum drying. Any residue impairs the new coating’s adhesion.
PVD or CVD deposition
PVD at 450–550 °C: fast, recommended for end mills and drills. CVD at 1000 °C: thicker layers, recommended for steel-turning inserts.
Thickness and hardness inspection
Layer thickness is measured by Calotest with 0.1 µm resolution, and hardness by Vickers HV0.05. Results accompany each batch.
Packaging + delivery
Individual corrosion-resistant packaging and technical process report. 7–14 business days from receipt.

Frequently asked questions
Can used tools be coated without regrinding first?
Yes, but it is not optimal. Recoating worn edges restores only about 30%. Ideally combine regrinding and recoating in one batch; we quote the combined service at a discount.
PVD or CVD for my inserts?
PVD: fast, 2–4 µm thick, ideal for end mills and drills. CVD: 8–20 µm thick, better for carbon-steel turning inserts. We help you choose for your part.
How much longer will the tool last?
It depends on coating and workpiece material. Averages verified with Mexican customers: TiAlN +60% versus uncoated steel cutting; AlCrN +100% in superalloys; DLC +80% in aluminium with reduced built-up edge.
